Why Hard feels different
Hard starts with about 14 filled triangles. Whole groups can look quite empty, so the quickest move is not always beside the most obvious clue.
Use Auto Notes to turn the board into a candidate map. Look for a triangle with one candidate, or a digit that appears in only one set of notes inside a hexagon or line.
Hard-mode tricks
- 🔢 Refresh Auto Notes after several placements so the candidate map stays useful.
- 👯 Look for a pair of cells in one group that share the same two candidates. Those digits cannot appear elsewhere in that group.
- 🧭 Scan all lines in one direction, then rotate your attention by 60 degrees.
- ✅ Use Check if the puzzle suddenly seems impossible. One wrong digit can block four groups.
- 💡 A hint is a learning tool, not a failure. Study the four groups around the revealed cell.

Can Hard Snowflake Sudoku be solved without guessing?
Yes. Every puzzle has one solution. Careful candidate elimination is enough, and the Hint button can reveal a correct step if you get stuck.
How long does a Hard puzzle take?
Most confident young solvers need about 12 to 25 minutes. There is no time limit, and your progress saves automatically.
Why did a triangle turn red?
A red triangle contains a repeated digit in one of its groups. Use Undo, Erase or Check to help find the problem.
